Aches & Pains: As a former national Bodybuilding champion, I have lifted heavy weights for 20 years. I have been plagued for several years by chronic shoulder joint pain. Cholesterol: My daughter who is a RN ordered me a couple of bottles of the OMEGA-3 Max strength in the latter part of December of this last year. Stroke: After experiencing many small strokes, I had a bilateral carotid endarterectomy. The blockage was 100% on the right side and 85% on the left. That was in February 11, 2004. My cholesterol was 270 and I was taking 2 different blood pressure meds. For over a month I have taken Iceland Health Omega-3 and have already experienced a change for the better. Memory & Mood: I have been taking Iceland Health Maximum Strength Omega-3 since May 2003. I started taking the product because I wanted to improve my health. I believe that Essential Fatty Acids are vital to good health. I have done research and found that all EFA's are not created equal. I knew that I needed to take a good pharmaceutical grade supplement. I searched on the web and found Iceland Health. I have found their products to be exceptional. I don't burp up a "fishy" taste all day long. Their product is very bioavailable, and quite affordable. Since taking Omega-3 I have experienced an increase in my memory and ability to think clearly. General Health: I am very pleased to share my experience with your OMEGA-3 fish oil caps. I began taking them a few months ago to see if they would help me with some of my health problems: arthritis, weight, sun allergy, vitiligo (autoimmune diseases), asthma, carpal tunnel syndrome. I am pleased to report that it has been quite effective in reducing inflammation and pain and stiffness in my whole body. I believe it has helped me (along with using the Atkins Program for weight loss) to lose weight more quickly, now over 40 lbs since January. Toxin-Free: The reasons why I take Island Health Omega 3 brand are because I have been tested and results were measurements of high arsenic and mercury. I had been eating farm raised salmon and taking omega 3 made in America for years. I did some research about the possible sources of the toxins and began to wonder if my efforts to keep myself healthy were poisoning me. That is, the fat is the fish in the US and surrounding sea are a possible source of those toxins. Then I had a brief stay in Iceland on my way to Holland two years ago. (It was so beautiful and I want to return). [I learned] about how "green" the country is. (I have gardened organically for 35 years). I bought some of your Omega 3 product in the airport and I decided to buy more after I found and researched your website. My husband takes it also. I am a licensed psychologist (psychotherapist) and cannot prescribe medication, but I do keep copies of your brochure in a basket in my waiting room. Some people do not want to take perscription medication for their affective disorders. As you know, research has demonstrated effectiveness of Omega 3 in managing mood disorders of a mild to morderate range. Other than purity, another reason I like the product is that one can get a sufficient amount of the fatty acid in just one capsule of the Maximum strength. I personally get no after taste of fish which was a problem with other brands I have tried.

Blood Pressure & Skin: My wife and I have been taking Omega-3 for about two years. I am 79 and my wife is 78 years old. Cholesterol: I have not had my cholesterol checked in a long time, so I cannot say what the number was before I started taking your Cod Liver Oil.... but about a week ago my blood test results showed a cholesterol level of 170. It has NEVER been that low before.

In January I suffered a serious reaction to a pain medication I was taking for back injuries. I lost consciousness 6 times in 6 days and fell. The result was a lot of bruises and 2 black eyes. All of this left me very weak, so I decided to take vitamins etc. to build myself up. I remembered that my mother, who was born in Stavanger, Norway, gave me Cod Liver Oil as a child. When I found your fruit-flavoured Cod Liver Oil from Iceland on the Internet, I HAD to try it. Now I am really looking and feeling good again. Allergies: I know this may sound unbelievable but, I suffer from terrible allergies with constant sneezing from 4:30 in the morning and throughout the day.
I wanted something natural to build my immune system up. I have been using the Icelandhealth products now for six days. Already, my sneezing is not as violent as it was and the frequency is diminishing also. I am sleeping until 5:15am and hopefully I will be able to have a better sleep pattern as my immune system gets built up.

Arthritis: I began taking your 1000 mg Maximum Strength Omega-3 for general heart health - 1 capsule per day. I was amazed after about 3 weeks I noticed the pain and inflammation I suffered from arthritis of my thumb was beginning to diminish. I have been taking [a prescription arthritis medication] for the arthritic thumb for 2 years and it was beginning to lose its effectiveness - more noticeable pain and inflammmation My doctor suggested increasing dosage of [the prescription medication], but I was reluctant to do so. After several more weeks of taking Omega-3 there was such a continued lessening of inflammation and pain that I experimented stopping the [prescription medication]. I have been totally off the [prescription medication] for over 2 months now, have gradually increased my intake of Omega-3 to 2,000 mg and now 3,000 mg per day and am practically pain free. I have no inflammation, much more movement in the joint and feel confident I will never need the surgery on my thumb that was recommended by a leading hand surgeon. I also know that taking the Omega-3 is certainly beneficial for my heart, cardiovascular system, brain function and general health. Thank goodness I found your site.
